• Erin went on a field trip to the Guilford Green
• The girls went to the Appleman's after school for a quick play date.
• Maggie got a bloody nose at soccer and scared everyone.
• Becca came over to babysit while I attend the Silver Apple Retirement Dinner.

Today was a success!

I even wore a dress... and felt pretty!

Wednesday, May 30

Maggie has a stuffy nose.
Both girls had a great day at school.
We had dinner at DQ in Westbrook.
Maggie had a LAX game vs. Clinton in Clinton.  They won 10-5.

Uncle Bob is really sick and isn't expected to be with us too much longer.

Took Joe to the train station at 4:00 in the morning.
Erin woke up with no fever.
Both girls went to school.
School was a success.

May 28th, Memorial Day

Erin still has a slight fever, with cough.
The tooth fairy did come and visit Erin, left $5
Decided to paint the mailbox... 2 years after being bought!
Went Geocaching at Chattfinch Hollow, found both boxes
Bought flowers at Agway.

Today the girls had off because I had professional development at school.  So they ventured to the Y for day camp.  Maggie thought it would be a "prison" because someone had told her that.  Here is Erin's account for today.

Summer

Our summer has been filled with so much.  We've gone camping and swimming.  The girls went to Lacrosse camp and sports camp.  We've been kayaking and even had a beauty day where we all fixed each others names.

My kids are ready to return back to the word of structure.  They need a schedule!  I don't want to go back to work, but I think it is time.

I've been heading to my room for the mornings then spending the afternoons either hanging or swimming.

Today Maggie is having her 8 1/2 birthday party.  She didn't get a birthday party on her birthday so this was our arrangement!  I am excited for her.  It is a PJ and movie party.  We are having about 10 girls come and spend time together.  I hope it all goes well.

July 4th

So today we got up early and headed to Chaffinch Island to find our perfect picnic spot for the day.  And when I say early, well, we were there at 8:30!

Once we found our spot we began the unloading of the car.  Gosh, we took a ton of stuff.  After the first trip we needed the bug spray right away!

By 9:30 we were all settled in and our guest were not set to arrive until 12.  So Erin and Joe took the kayaks out to try fishing from the boat.

At around 10:30 Kelley and her girls, Colleen and Kacey arrived.  We had so much fun.  At 12 Marcy, Randy, David and Danny arrived.  Joe started up the BBQ grill and we had hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob.  Christa, Megan, and Brenna also arrived right in time for the food.

The girls and big kids all played in the water, fished (although nothing the whole day was to be caught) and rode the kayaks.  By 4:30 everyone was gone and we cleaned up and headed home.

After taking a good shower and unloading the car, we went to the Appleman's for dinner.
